Mendocino Permaculture Project
The Mendocino Permaculture Project was a private owner sustainable forestry plan for 160 acre of second stand native forest. Steve designed the overall plan and established food gardens and orchards and a greywater system on the site.

Established in 1978 CCAT was one of the first University projects in the Nation to promote sustainability and green living. Steve worked as a co-director for CCAT as well as many other positions over the three years he was involved with this project.

Peace Corps
The Peace Corps provided and international opportunity to work in West Africa on sustainable agriculture projects. Steve served almost four years in Gambia and Guinea working on sustainable agriculture projects, including agroforestry, women's gardens co-op's, and health and wellness education.
